DUI

Is FR44 only required after a Florida DUI?

In Florida, FR44 is the DUI form. If the DHSMV or the court tied the suspension to a DUI, that is FR44 at 100/300/50.

Other Florida problems, like driving with no insurance or too many points, are often SR22 instead. We've talked to people who bought FR44 for a no insurance suspension because they assumed every Florida filing was FR44. That is the same mixup in reverse, and it costs money.

The letter wins. If it says FR44, we file FR44. If it says SR22, we file SR22. If you are staring at the notice and the language is muddy, read it to us.
