Do I need FR44 for a Florida business purpose (BPO) license?
We do not issue a business purpose license. DHSMV does. What we handle is the insurance filing that usually has to sit underneath it.
For a Florida DUI, that filing is FR44 at 100/300/50, not SR22. We've talked to people who did DUI school and the hardship paperwork, then found the license still would not move because there was no FR44 on file. The BPO does not replace the certificate.
You still have to meet whatever else FLHSMV listed for hardship eligibility. That part is theirs. If no vehicle is in your name, ask about non-owner FR44 before you buy a car to satisfy the filing.
We shop 15+ carriers and file electronically the same day you purchase. Filing same day is not same-day printed hardship license.
