Can one FR44 policy cover multiple vehicles or other drivers in my household?
Multiple vehicles, yes. Multiple drivers with their own FR44 requirement, no.
The FR44 certificate is tied to your name and your license, not to a single vehicle. That means one FR44 policy covers you as the driver, and you can add more than one vehicle to that same policy. You do not need a separate FR44 policy for every car you own.
Other drivers are the part people get wrong. If someone else in your household also has an FR44 requirement from their own case, their filing has to be made for them. A filing made in your name does not satisfy the state for anyone else, no matter whose policy they are listed on. Two requirements means two filings.
Household members who do not have their own requirement can usually be listed as drivers on your policy the normal way. That is a rating question, not a filing question, and it can change your premium, so it is worth telling us who else drives before we quote it.
