FR44 vs SR22

What is the difference between FR44 and SR22 in Florida?

Both are certificates your insurance company files with the state. Neither one is the policy itself. The difference is what the state makes you carry, and which form they will accept.

An SR22 proves you carry standard minimum liability. An FR44, after a Florida DUI, proves you carry 100/300/50. That coverage jump is why FR44 costs more. Same driver, same car, bigger required product.

And Florida DUI is FR44. An SR22 will not satisfy that reinstatement. We see this mixup every week because national articles treat SR22 as the answer in all fifty states. Florida does it differently.

If your letter says FR44, we file FR44. If it says SR22, we file SR22. Bring the notice and we match it.
