I got a DUI in Florida. Do I need SR22 or FR44?
If the DUI happened in Florida, you need an FR44. Not an SR22.
We've talked to people who already paid for an SR22 because a cookie cutter site sold them the national product. Then the DHSMV looked at the filing, rejected it, and the license stayed suspended. The paperwork was not a typo. Florida built FR44 for DUI, and it requires 100/300/50 liability, which is higher than standard coverage.
SR22 still exists in Florida for other problems, like driving with no insurance or too many points. That is a different letter. If your notice says FR44, that is the form we file.
We shop 15+ carriers, we bind the policy, and we file electronically with the DHSMV the same day you purchase. Confirmation on the state side can still lag, so we do not pretend the plastic license prints in the same hour.
