Interlock

Do I still need FR44 if I have an ignition interlock?

The interlock is a device in the vehicle. The FR44 is an insurance filing with the DHSMV. They are not substitutes for each other.

If Florida assigned you an interlock, that is between you and the device company and the DHSMV. We do not install it, we do not teach you how to blow into it, and we do not pretend we have lived with one. Sam has never used an ignition interlock. What we handle is the FR44 policy and the electronic filing.

We've talked to people who thought the interlock shop had also taken care of insurance. Then they found out the DHSMV still wanted 100/300/50 on file. Different vendors, different jobs.

We shop 15+ carriers and file the FR44 the same day you purchase. You still work the device on the DHSMV's terms.
