What liability limits does Florida FR44 require?
Florida FR44 is 100/300/50. That means $100,000 bodily injury per person, $300,000 per accident, and $50,000 property damage. You can carry more. You cannot carry less and still have a valid FR44.
That is a lot higher than standard Florida liability, and that jump is the whole point of the form after a DUI. We've talked to people who bought a cheap 25/50 policy, got an SR22 filed, and then learned the DHSMV wanted the FR44 product instead. Wrong limits, wrong certificate, license still suspended.
The FR44 is the filing that proves those limits are in force. The policy is what you actually buy. We shop 15+ carriers for a policy that meets 100/300/50, then we file electronically the same day you purchase. DHSMV confirmation can lag.
