My Florida DUI is several years old. Does the FR44 requirement still apply?

A reinstatement fee on the screen is not the same thing as a clear FR44 requirement.

We've talked to people who paid the dollar amount DHSMV listed, then found the license still would not finish because an FR44, DUI school, or another hold was sitting behind the fee. A seven year old case can still have open pieces. It can also be done. The only way to know is the actual requirement list on your FLHSMV record, not the balance due by itself.

If FR44 is still listed, Florida DUI is 100/300/50 and we file that, not an SR22. If it is not listed, do not buy an FR44 you do not need.
